About the Journal

The Journal of Linguistics and Iranian Languages is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal that was established in 2016 (1395 SH) with official authorization from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It was founded through the efforts of the Group of Linguistics within the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics at the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, Shiraz University. The journal is published quarterly (four issues per year) by Shiraz University.

The journal publishes original research articles in all areas related to linguistics and the dialectology of Iranian languages. Since Iran is home to diverse Iranian ethnic groups with their own distinct reflecting the various dimensions of dialects and accents associated with Iranian languages. The journal welcomes both original research articles and critical discussions and studies in the field of Iranian dialects. Overall, it serves as a suitable platform for publishing the latest scholarly research in the field of linguistics and Iranian dialects.
